Sam has contributed to the design and documentation for rooftop spaces, public parks, residential gardens, and urban plazas. He leads design development through hand rendering and model-making, in addition to managing technical drawing sets. He also takes part in the concept design and development of project elements, from stone layouts to custom furniture. An avid painter, Sam’s exploration of form on canvas informs his work with three-dimensional landscapes.
Sam earned a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture with Highest Honors from Virginia Tech, where he served as the University’s ASLA Student Chapter President. He received an ASLA Merit Award and was selected as Virginia Tech's 2018 Landscape Architecture Foundation Undergraduate Olmsted Scholar.
