Drawing on her love of horticulture, Rachel is particularly skilled at integrating design concepts and details with in-depth site analysis and research. Prior to joining MVVA, Rachel worked for Jones Valley Teaching Farm in Birmingham, Alabama, where she served as a gardening instructor for public elementary school students and developed a skill for collaborating with community members.

Rachel received a Master of Landscape Architecture from Cornell University, where she was named a 2021 Landscape Architecture Foundation Olmsted Scholar, received the ASLA Student Merit Award, and was nominated by the University’s Department of Landscape Architecture for the Cornelia Ye Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from Kenyon College in Ohio. Rachel joined MVVA in 2021.
