Oliver translates concepts, research, and analysis into writing, graphics, and drawings throughout the design process. A mixed-media artist with experience in aquaponics, he is interested in the interdisciplinary relations between geopolitics, ecology, and urbanism in realizing equitable and resilient public spaces across multiple scales. 

Oliver received a Bachelor of Arts in Geography and Architectural Studies with a minor in Environmental Studies from Vermont’s Middlebury College, and studied in the Shape of Two Cities: New York / Paris program at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation. Prior to joining MVVA in 2018, Oliver worked as a Research Assistant in community design and GIS mapping in Middlebury, at AWP Office for Territorial Reconfiguration in Paris, and at several architecture practices in Denver.
